"Politics is not the art of the possible. It consists in choosing between the disastrous and the unpalatable."
-- John Kenneth Galbraith

In 2000 I voted for Steve Forbes in the WI primary. Forbes dropped out a month earlier but Dubya was the presumptive nominee, and I figured I would hold my nose and vote for Dubya in Nov. I had low expectations for Dubya. I was wrong. Dubya passed tax cuts, fought 2 successful wars, ended the AWB, and put 2 young and conservative judges on the SCOTUS. The economy has been very good to me, my family and friends, your mileage may vary. He did this and more with a traitorous media, a psychopathic rat party, and a emasculated GOP.

Like every President before, I did not agree with Dubya on all issues, but I could understand that failure to do something about these issues could result in replacing Dubya with a President who would. It has been a rare occation that Dubya has done something he didn't promise to do during the election campaigns. For me nothing he has done was unforgivable.

On a whole I am very proud of my 2 general election votes for President George W Bush. I was ashamed of his predecessor.

The comparisons on taxes, scandals, faith, the military, abortion, RKBA, and more are stark and numerous. Just stopping the illegal and traitorous actions of Clinton is cause for celebration but Dubya reversed much of it.

The leader

Patient and steady with all he must bear,
Ready to accept every challenge with care,
Easy in manner, yet solid as steel,
Strong in his faith, refreshingly real,
Isn't afraid to propose what is bold,
Doesn't conform to the usual mold,
Eyes that have foresight, for hindsight wont do
Never back down when he sees what is true
Tells it all straight, and means it all too

Going forward and knowing he's right
Even when doubted for why he would fight.
Over and over he makes his case clear
Reaching to touch the ones who won't hear
Growing in strength, he won't be unnerved
Ever assuring he'll stand by his word

Wanting the world to join his firm stand.

Bracing for war, but praying for peace
Using his power so evil will cease:
So much a leader and worthy of trust,
Here stands a man who will do what he must

Dubya is a common sense class act, a very bright and honest man, and I believe God brought him to to us at this time.

My number 1 issue for the foreseeable future is the continuation of the proactive Bush Doctrine - "We will kill you before you are strong enough to attack us." First keep my children alive then we can talk about taxes, and affirmative action.

Just as with Dubya I don't start this election season with high hopes for John McCain. I will be happy with 2 steps forward and 1 step back. I have faith in McCain because of his record of support for our military. He has a pretty good record on abortion, guns, and judges. I hope he will continue the Bush tax cuts. McCain looks like a deficit hawk which can't really be said about Dubya. The rest of the stuff ain't as important.

Hillary or McCain, one thing is certain...America will miss the leadership of George W Bush!
