I believe you’re correct. My experience is that the American feminist movement has embittered a lot of good men who would normally feel it is their obligation to defend women from harm.

I remember a line from “Lucifer’s Hammer”, of one of the male characters thinking that one of the good things about the asteroid strike was that women’s lib was dead 2 seconds after.
