The world is getting warmer, but only if you ignore the past decade or so. Still the warming is within Hansen's prediction error bars made in 1980. Then he said we would be at the (current temperature) if climate "sensitivity" is 1.4C That means that we are not going to have any type of catastrophe whether it is Greenland starting to melt in a few hundred years, or some unknown positive feedback kicking in. We will simply have a little beneficial extra warmth.

Ocean "acidification" is the other great bogeyman, but it occurs naturally at much greater magnitudes than human caused without harmful effects. Once Romney has locked the primary he will yabber something about ocean acidification. He will try to outdo Obama's white guilt election strategy with his own American guilt global warming strategy. Many of the proponents of global warming are non-Americans and quite a few hate America.
