As I have said before, in the event of a major breakdown/catastrophe, you have maybe six hours before the shelves are stripped bare.

ANYONE who doesn’t have two weeks (at least) of provisions set aside will be in serious, serious trouble.

Three dozen eggs and two cases of baked beans? What’s that gonna cost you? Maybe thirty bucks, and it could SAVE YOUR LIFE!!

Speaking of eggs, one of the few useful things I got from that Doomsday Preppers show was that if you coat eggs with food grade mineral oil they will last at least 9 months with no refrigeration. I'm going to have to give that a try. Might be good to buy a couple 5 dozen packages, and rotate them out.
