>>Didnt Tim marry a woman
“On December 17, 1969, with 21.4 million viewers watching, Tiny Tim married Victoria Mae Budinger (aka “Miss Vicki”) on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. During their marriage, Tiny Tim and Miss Vicki mostly lived apart, and divorced eight years later.[7] When Tiny Tim first became well-known to the American public, pundits and journalists debated whether or not this character being presented was just an orchestrated act, or the real thing.”

About a year or so ago my brother sent me a youtube of “Tim” singing other types of songs in a much more normal voice. They actually weren’t bad. But I don’t think I’ll be joining the Tiny Tim Fan Club anytime soon, as entertaining as he certainly was. :)
He and Andy Kaufman were very similar types of showmen. I'd bet Kaufman was hugely inspired by 'Tim'.
...you never knew with absolute certainty whether they were putting the audience on or not, at least at the time. I recall my father being totally convinced that Andy Kaufman was for real. Then again, he also thought pro-wrestling was for real.
Once again; I can recall no political figure, short of Barney Frank, who has been a greater embarrassment to their country than this POS.
Whoops, just spent more time on youtube, watching the Latka’s Cookies Taxi episode, lol.
Here’s a Tiny Tim obit with a lot of good background info:

A vaudevillian misplaced in time, seems like. He often sounded like Al Jolson.
