Do you really think so? It was bad but I don’t remember it being like this.

Back then it was the wingnut dingbats protesting the war that are now advising oblabla and the race riots. Bad but focused and irrational.

Now it is just deep seated seething anger at the government and abuse of states rights. Much different to me.

No, '68 --the year of my birth was pretty bad. JFK and MLK gunned down. Rioters were burning down cities. The Vietnam War became unwinnable --despite winning the Tet Offensive. We had a President who declined running for re-election. The country was tearing apart at the seams in 1968. Yet, somehow, we persevered.
