Obama Imposes Race-Based School Discipline

Under our supposedly postracial president, everything is all about race — including school discipline, which Obama has decreed will be meted out according to skin color:

"...Barack Obama is backing a controversial campaign by progressives to regulate schools’ disciplinary actions so that members of major racial and ethnic groups are penalized at equal rates, regardless of individuals’ behavior...."

The obvious point is to reward a privileged group that is more likely to behave disruptively. One of the many ham-fisted executive orders through which Obama rules specifically states that “African Americans … disproportionately experience school discipline.” Therefore, they are to be rewarded with lighter punishment. Belonging to a group whose members are less likely to behave like criminal savages will be correspondingly punished.

Reward bad behavior, punish good behavior, and be prepared to blame “racists” when the inevitable results are catastrophic. This is liberal social engineering in a nutshell.

I have spent 35 years overcoming my racist upbringing. Now I am beginning to question myself and think grandpa and his buddies actually did have things right. Obama is not only destroying racial relations in this country he is ultimately setting blacks up for a horrible backlash.

What is the campaign called?
Who is running it?
Where is it originating from?
In what speech etc did Obama state that he supported this campaign?
I think Obama to be the worst President ever and harmful to America, but I like to use facts and not opinions, rumors, or peoples blogs to represent my point..

Living here in Florida for the past 40 years I thought race relations were in good shape.
Now I will never again look at a black person in a position of power withiout thinking just another f-ing quota boy.

Of course, the most obvious point is this: Anyone who actually cares about the well-being of American Negro children, knows that effective school discipline is a benefit to the child "testing the waters," as almost all children do at some point in their lives. A legitimate complaint of many Black parents, for years, has been that the schools did not effectively discipline their children--moreover, that the schools actually undermined parental discipline as well.

The Left offers America an absurd, upside down view of reality. And hissing insults at those who recognize it for what it is, will never render it more holy.

The fantasy pursuit of an Egalitarian social order, is the greatest threat to every recognizable segment of the population. No race or community actually benefits from the lunacy, although the impact of the derangement falls differently on different groups.

It might seem odd, but I’ve found race relations better in the South than up North. I lived up in the Philly area for most of my life. The DC, Philly, and B’more blacks are the worst.

Yeah, what I’m saying is that, currently, black students only get suspended for things that threaten the viability of the school if permitted. That won’t change. What will change will be an increase in suspensions of white students on any minor infraction, in order to make the ratio of suspensions look good. Teachers may even be encouraged to make up offenses by white students they don’t like (like children of conservatives).

Belonging to a group whose members are less likely to behave like criminal savages will be correspondingly punished.

The only reason black people are prone to behaving like 'criminal savages' is because of the blatant true racism of the liberal agenda. I firmly believe the black entitlement, white guilt behavior has destroyed the black population. Instead of treating them like equals, holding them to the same standards as whites, we treated them like 'special' and sort of turned them into spoiled kids. Affirmative Action DAMAGES blacks. A while back CA was considering abandoning homework for black kids, since giving homework to black kids is 'racist.'

The policy has the added advantage that it will generate resentment toward blacks, which is crucial in propping up an ideology that relies so heavily on the almost entirely imaginary specter of anti-black racism.

Proof that liberals are the racists here. They are the evil ones who traded white hoods for suits and ties and congressional offices.

At one point the California legislature passed a law to require the University of California to graduate students of different racial backgrounds at the same rate, but it didn’t go into effect because the governor at the time was a Republican (I forget if it was Deukmejian or Wilson).

On July 26th Obama signed an executive order titled the “African American Education Initiative.” The order essentially gives a green light for black students to misbehave in public schools. In two place, Obama’s executive order calls on schools to reduce the number disciplinary actions taken against blacks students. The order specific calls on schools “not rely on methods that result in disparate use of disciplinary tools.”

Obama, with Rev. Al Sharpton and other black leaders looking on, signed the executive order on Thursday, which created a special new federal office aimed at improving education for African Americans. The order also created a panel to foster “a positive school climate that does not rely on methods that result in disparate use of disciplinary tools.”

The order, titled “White House Initiative On Educational Excellence,” said, “African Americans lack equal access to highly effective teachers and principals, safe schools, and challenging college-preparatory classes, and they disproportionately experience school discipline and referrals to special education. African American student achievement not only lags behind that of their domestic peers by an average of two grade levels, but also behind students in almost every other developed nation.”

In announcing the initiative, the White House’s social media team misspelled the word “Americans”

The principal at my daughter’s high school tried this (she’s 30yo now). She explained to me that because minorities were so mistreated for so many years that my daughter deserved to be punished for engaging in a name calling match but the minority kid did not. I explained to her that my daughter was not responsible for what others had done in past years and I was not going to allow for unequal punishment. The principal responded by calling me and my daughter racists and other names! I can’t believe that this theory is now being made practice; am I living in Zimbabwe?

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

More people need to see and understand — he’s not “stupid”; he’s evil.”

I agree and have felt the same way about obama and his wife since the campaign. They truly HATE the United States and all she represents.

Absolutely. President Bush was right in calling it what it is: “the soft bigotry of low expectations.” Holding young people of all backgrounds to high standards is what works.
