Season 1 of the TV series "Alice" has just been released on DVD
Well, kiss my grits!
“To the moon!...”
Jeeze, I can’t wait to not buy it.
Some great characters......but liberal as hell.
Didn’t like it when it was on.
You beat me to it,damn it!
Vera,you dingy broad!
“Didnt like it when it was on.”
Kind of a neat movie, though. At least, for a slow paced movie where not much happens. Mott the Hoople was good.
Early to rise, early to bed.
In and between I cooked and cleaned and went out of my head.
Going through life with blinders on, it’s tough to see.
I had to get up, get out from under and look for me.
There’s a new girl in town and she’s looking good.
There’s a fresh freckled face, in the neighborhood.
There’s a new girl in town, with a brand new style.
She was just passing through, but if things work out she’s gonna stay awhile....ba ba bum bum bummmm

Funniest thing, the saddest part is I never knew why...
Kickin’ myself for nothin’ was my favorite sport
I had to take off and start enjoyin’ ‘cause life’s too short
There’s a new girl in town, ‘cause I’m feelin good.
Get a smile, get a song, for the neighborhood
Things are great when you stand on your own two feet and this girl’s here to say with some luck and love life’s gonna be so sweeeeeeeeeet!
I never watched an episode of this mindless series.
But then I never watched an episode about two girls who worked in a brewery and palled around with two imbeciles who were rather like themselves.
I remember watching Alice sometimes after footbal on CBS Sundays at 9:00pm. It was generally watchable. I found the ditzy Vera character likeable and sweet.
I stopped watching when the show decided to have the teen son go off with a homosexual for a weekend getaway.
