This is true; in fact they are so concentrated on their provocations that they've missed some truly stunning openings that their opponents could use. They are ignoring a very important piece in the aftermath of their win in Arizona vs US, that the state could mobilize its military-powers and violently expel the invaders, indeed that is the only option left for states to enforce immigration.
If the Governor of AZ were to declare such an invasion, calling out the organized [National Guard] and unorganized [general citizenry] militia with shoot-to-kill authorization then there would instantly be a political shit-storm on the national level. {Arizona has enough evidence to prove invasion, I believe.}
Then, the governor is perfectly positioned to place the Federal Government into its own no-win scenario: demand federal [armed] assistance under Article IV, Section 4, of the US Constitution:
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence.This places a not-insignificant portion of the political caste into a big bind, they have so wholeheartedly thrown themselves into one-world-government/no-borders scheme of things that to render aid would be seen as anathema and backsliding. Further, stalling [or denying] on such a request/demand would only add to the dissatisfaction of the states and serve to embolden the Tea Party/Constitutionalists in their criticisms of government. Lastly, should they act against the state they themselves will be committing treason, as defined by the US Constitution, to wit: giving aid and comfort to the enemies of the states.
In the not-impossible scenario that the federal government were to attack such a state, there would be undeniable proof/justification for the armed rebellion it would spark.
And if it doesn't happen naturally, they might give it some "help." See Fast & Furious, where the Obama regime already crossed the deliberate mass-murder-for-political-gain Rubicon.
Indeed, I can easily imagine a "false flag" operation for doing exactly this. In fact, it would be absurdly easy to do given the segregation of military and civilian law enforcement. Imagine setting a known-loyal military unit on a [say] DEA unit where one wipes out the other; the news then shows the resultant casualties and the "obvious militia" forensic evidence (which would obviously be planted/scrubbed). If nothing else, Fast & Furious shows how little regard is placed on civilian lives and safety.

Concur, again. Recall also the FBI COINTELPRO operations of thec 1960s and '70s, renamed after former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover's death and the exposure of the program after a breakin at the FBI offices in Media, Pennsylvania, but never completely terminated, though spread out among other federal agencies, including the BATF and the Army military intelligence surveillance of prominent political figures known as Operation Watch Tower.
I dunno; given the serious lack of any meaningful repercussion of Fast and Furious they might try it precisely as an FU/rile-the-conspiracy-theorists-up measure.
What could be better than using one of the plays from a conservative book like yours?
1 -- The audience that read it would be virtually all conservative TEA-party types; i.e. the designated fall-guy.
2 -- The book can be claimed as the source, and being authored by yourself implicate the conservatives. (Guilt by association.)

I think the turnout on Chikfil-A day must also have been a shock to them. Bitter Clinger Nation took the time to put millions of people into visible action on a national scale the MSM could not ignore, the way, say, they ignore 500,000 pro-lifers assembled on the mall each year. This was unexpected.
Against our millions of Chikfil-A Warriors, they put out a few dozen kissers and a bit of vandalism on Friday. More media than kissers. The comparison must stick in their craws.

I don't disagree with what you're saying at all, and you've very articulately pointed out before how novel such a fight would be in world history. Still, the biggest problem we face, bar none, is the pairing of rising collectivist ambition with the inability of the modern military to properly understand or win wars. That's the kind of stuff that tragic miscalculations are made of.
Here's my concern. The left wants a fight. Specifically, they want a fight between the uniformed U.S. security forces (aka the center right) against the TEA Party/Constitutionalists/patriots (aka the far right).
The left doesn't have an army of its own, so their operational concept is to get the organs of the state to fight for them. They sit comfortably behind the flag, while making the actual patriots into public enemies. Rhetorically, it all works for them. The evil conservatives are vanquished, the left doesn't need to spill any blood, and the institutions that many conservatives cherish (military and law enforcement) are the ones that did the deed.
Fact of the matter is, the left has no army and really can't get one. They need a state-versus-patriot fight because there's no equivalent on the left. Just zero liability voters who expect to get paid in exchange for their support. They have needs and demands, true, but they're no pool of warriors ready to be tapped. That job will need to be outsourced.
The security structure in this country isn't leftist by any means, but there's lots of people with mortgages to pay and mouths to feed. They may be center right politically, but they'll do what they're told in the short run if the reason is marginally plausible. And that's the danger. The forces on the left that want the fight also want it to be over quickly, because it needs to be. They don't realize that realistically, once it starts, it could turn into Afghanistan in every single state. Even our own planners didn't realize that Afghanistan was going to turn into Afghanistan. Ditto Iraq. And at the higher levels, some of them are advising the same leftist powers-that-be on military and civil strategies like this.
Sadly, the left wants the fight so badly, and on paper they may think that the fight will be as easy as following the doctrine laid out by the nice men from the War College, but that kind of fight bedeviled us for a decade in the sandbox. It would be a thousand times worse here. It's that lack of understanding what they'd be unleashing that worries me more than anything. At least Hitler feared the Swiss for the right reasons. He may have been a fool in a number of ways, but he learned some hard lessons in WWI up close and personally. I really wonder if the left comprehends what kind of fire they're playing with.

Well..there is one thing that I don’t see many point up when the number of deer rifles is brought up....
The young ones are not only taught marksmanship...they are taught the art of killing....plus cover...concealment...breath control..etc.
Around here..the good ones blossom at 12-14...by thirty there’s two decades of honing the craft. Then there’s bow seasons.
