Our PC is very quick to refer to a specialist. He has been my PC for around 20 years now. I am a bit surprised that he hasn’t done so already. But I am thinking that he waiting to find a conclusive diagnosis so he knows which specialist he want to refer him.
I am a nurse and was a Lab Tech in the AF many, many years ago. So I have a medical background that helps me navigate the ins and outs of the medical field. Mom here is going to get much more involved if this goes on much longer. I am trying to let him handle this since he is a young adult, but it is so hard to sit back and not put in my two cents worth.

You’re a really good mom. It’s very obvious. I admire the fact that you are respectful of his individuality and self-determinism, but are intimately aware of what he is going through and would clearly do anything for him. That’s wonderful.
