Yes, I agree - there are signs of an awakening. The turnouts at Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day took everyone by surprise. The truth is that there's a growing sense of "fed up" with all this statist nonsense, this bullying political correctness.

Is it enough and in time to be effective? We're all going to find out Real Soon Now.

BTW, check out the last entries in the killers without conscience thread. I've posted some chapter headings. BTW, you're on the editorial board. Manuscript headed your way once it's got to that point.

Yes, Chick-fil-A was an eye-opener for sure. (We drove about 45 minutes to the closest location but couldn't eat because the place was mobbed and we couldn't wait 90-120 minutes based on our schedule.)

If you recall I've mulled over the effect of the “push-push-push” for the past few years. It was either just going to grind everyone down and completely de-sensitize the populace with a daily dose of low-grade tyranny, or it was going to ultimately wake people up. The pressure of the jackboot on the accelerator pedal was the main variable at play. From my perspective it seems that the daily grind was working “well” (from their perspective) for quite some time. When they crossed over into hammering hard on religious liberty issues, I think that was the point that a lot more awakening has occurred. (Combined with the crumbling economy that can no longer even be spun into anything palatable.) Too little, too late? As you say, we will soon find out.

I'll check those KWC posts later this evening, thanks. Also, looking forward to anything that I can do to help with the manuscript, you know where to find me (very glad to hear that it is moving along!).
