At the Seaport Hotel, right here in Boston, media mogul Rupert Murdoch and NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg discussed the relevance of immigration policy yesterday. Among the topics discussed were how immigrants affect job creation, family values, and election outcomes. Bloomberg and Murdoch both found that immigrants affect these areas very positively, and see not embracing a more ‘immigrant-friendly’ culture as a serious error for the United States, and the Republican Party.(hld)
