Tis the republicans fault for letting him get the nomination the way I see it. Sure, Claire gave money and swayed dem voters to vote for him but what happened to the all knowing Roves, RNC, RSC, etc? They should have seen this coming and pumped money into the candidate they wanted. Do they themselves not know how important a senate seat is?

He is now the candidate and nothing short of death or resignation will change it, so support him or give up. He can be reconstituted and it will take lots of money and an aggressive crew to do it.

Have been around FR for a few years and I have seen constant complaints about R’s that won’t fight, what a pussy, grow a pair. It is now put up or shut up time.

The R’s have done what they have done so well in the past and that is to eat their own.

As far as the Repubs reconstituting a viable Akin candidacy I believe the Repubs have burned their bridges behind themselves in the retreat from Akin. As stupid and as ill thought Akin’s comments were I think the matter could have been dealt with/disposed of in a more better political discussion. Indeed the way the Repubs jumped on the matter leads me to believe that they have serious questions about the success of their campaign/candidates. Akin certainly didn’t help but putting a growing forest fire out with garden hoses generally isn’t a good effort.
