There used to be a similar cartoon with Reagan.
He would say something like: “Let me digress for a second...” - and all these fearful aids would go into a panic. Of course when President Reagan digressed from his handlers, he connected with the American people. Just look look “Reagan Soviet Jokes”, some are hysterical.
“The bombing begins in 5 minutes” sent the journalists and liberals into panic....funny as all get out, even Reagan laughed when he said it...After being President for less than a couple of hours...
