Thanks for posting those. A life, indeed. I saw him with all the other living Apollo astronauts in Oshkosh in 1994 for a 25th anniversary thing.

What I remember most was one of the astronauts up on stage reminicing, the sun had gone down, and a Concord took off in full afterburner right behind us, quite a sight.

Everyone turned and looked, and the astronaut said “Everyone stand up and take a look...we are looking up here too!”

I loved it. It said everything about those men, and all of it good.
