Over 30 years ago, some b-ball players came to my house to smoke some grass. Two of them ended up playing for the Cavs. A stunning girl came with them. She was a law student at Marquette. Just a stunner,,, light skinned, with freckles and red hair, and a figure that most womyn would kill for. She came back an hour later. She had the sickle cell anemia, and just wanted someone to hold her. I’m 66,,,,, sickle cell people don’t usually last this long. I say a prayer for Annette every day.

Sickle Cell Anemia Cured by Adult Stem Cells
You might want to watch this youtube. It is about adult stem cells from his brothers umbilical cord, which gave a little boy, very sick with Sickle Cell Anemia, health. Adult stem cells can actually come from the sick person themselves. I am not sure if they are using them from the person them self yet, except from their own banked cord blood, but this should, I would hope, be able to be done not very far off in the future. This disease is actually curable, but not many people realize it, and adult stem cells are needed. Because of adult stem cell research there is medical hope for a cure, but more people need to know about it.
As of this point in time, the patients, to use umbilical cord stem cells, need to be quite small, under 115 pounds, because the cords do not hold that much blood. There are cord blood banks, and some are for public use.
