There is no such thing as radical/extremist Islam. There is only Islam. The words written on the Libyan embassy said, “Allah is great. There is no allah but allah. Mohammed is his prophet.” This is the muslim profession of faith, the shahada.
The black flags that were raised all over there with Arabic on them SAY THE SHAHADA. They are NOT flags of Al Qaeda. The black flag, however, is the Islamic flag of revolution.
Research salafism/salafi. This is violent and has merged with Wahabbi thought. Al Qaradawi now espouses it and has written about the spiritual merger that EVOLVES.
Now, Egypt has linked up with Iran. Well, Egypt and Syria used to be one country.......
