Terrorist groups like al Qaeda don’t like to be ignored. Why go to all the trouble of staging fiery protests against America if its president and his media supporters do everything possible to either keep the incidents out of the news or give other people such as filmmakers all the credit for producing them?
The same thing happened to al Qaeda during the Clinton presidency. It bombed two American embassies in Africa, along with the Khobar Town mishap and others, but it got no respect, and terrorists are not easygoing guys like Rodney Dangerfield.
So al Qaeda put on a much bigger production, 9/11, which was not only carried out against America’s most populous city but also its major media capital. The media coverage was everything a terrorist organization could have wished for.
So what is al Qaeda doing again wasting its time on small-potatoes projects like attacking America’s foreign embassies when America’s largest cities stand vulnerable to any group able to ferry a few terrorists across its porous borders carrying Molotov cocktails and a few black flags of Islam? What it’s doing is probably trying to divert attention while it prepares major 9/11-Part Two projects which will once again, like the original 9/11, have its Arab followers dancing deliriously in the streets.
We will probably never know the truth.
Not if we expect to get it from our Media. Perhaps the Brits will one day print the truth
That's right, let's all sit round and whine about the media. When the bl@@dy h#ll are the Republican leadership going to do something about the media bias? They are Country Club pantywaists who want the power and influence but don't seem to want to fight for it. I seem to remember that Gingrich was hugely popular when he pushed back against the moderators.
