I wanted to voice my opinion on something thats been bothering me for a really long time. I tried writing the newspaper and contacting TV stations but nobody seems to want to stick with this so Im calling you guys. Over the past few years Ive been involved in three separate car accidents involving deer. Each of these incidents occurred shortly after I saw a deer crossing sign on the highway.
My frustration is that Minnesota and North Dakota departments of transportation would allow these deer crossings to be in such high traffic areas. Ive even seen them on the interstate. Why are we encouraging deer to cross at the interstate, such a high traffic area?
I understand that deer are animals and they need to travel across the streets occasionally to survive and of course to find food, but Its so irresponsible of us to allow these deer crossings to be in areas where deer are likely to be struck by oncoming traffic. Youd think they would put deer crossings in smaller towns maybe at a school crossing would be a safer place for them to cross.
They can direct the deer population anywhere they want to by moving that deer crossing sign. Why in the world would they place it on the highway or the interstate? There are so many other places I can think of than putting deer crossing signs on busy highways or interstates. The deer crossing sign is there to allow the deer to know that thats where they need to cross. Dont put deer crossing signs on the interstate or freeways. Put them in lower traffic areas where its a lot slower small towns I think school crossings is a good idea.
is it pasteurized? “no just up to my t*ts”
Where is Benghazi, where there any killed?, was there any security? How many? Who was the Ambassador? So the Embassy was in Benghazi? All because of some video?, just damn.
Get some of your other conservative right thinking sane friends to join in the Q&A.
I know it's mean, boarding on Bullying, but still. lol
If the deer get hit, it’s their own fault. If you look at these signs, they clearly indicate that the deer should be leaping across the road, not casually strolling across in front of traffic.
“They” walk among us.
No, you need more signs. Specifically, a 'No Loitering' sign. Those deer weren't crossing, they were loitering.
I put a Romney sign out he other day, neighbor across the street said "Won't do any good"
I said Oh! yes, it will be a lanslide. He meant Okla is a Red State and Romney will win anyway. (p.s.He seems to be a Democrap).
I just told him my sign was BRAGGING RIGHTS.
When visiting Yellowstone some years ago, one rangers said some of the questions they’re asked by tourists are: what time do they let the animals out, and what time do they turn on the geysers?
Yeah, and while in England a few years ago, I noticed they built Stonehenge right next to a large motorway. Why governments do these things is mystifying. (smirk)
Actually deer do loiter. Some years ago while going to work early in the morning, I came across a herd of about twenty deer standing in the middle of the highway staring at the face of hill. Apparently the deer couldn't figure out how to leap over a one hundred foot high rock face. I tried to wend my way carefully through the herd, but one managed to run into my car anyway. At one time I managed to hit or be hit by four deer in the space of five years. That's life when you live in deer country.

“What does she do on the highway when she sees Clean Restrooms Ahead signs? She must get very tired on trips.”
Dang thing could have made it..but flipped a U-turn right in front of me. Center punched him.
Never saw the Coyote Crossing sign.
With a coyote that stupid I would look for a roadrunner crossing sign.
Or an ACME sign..............
LOL
