IT CERTAINLY WAS NOT NOT NOT A LONG PLANNED CHANGE OF COMMAND. IT WAS GENERAL HAM DOING THE RIGHT THING IN THE FACE OF AN EVIL DICTATOR AND GETTING RELIEVED FROM DUTY BEFORE HE COULD GET IT DONE.
If Gen Ham were relieved of duty as has been rumored (even apparently in intel circles—at least that’s the rumor;-), the Obama administration would deny it and take steps to make sure such information never saw the light of day.
So what came first- the chicken or the egg?
Long-planned? That’s the ticket—replace Ham with Rodriguez a week before the election. Long-range, short-range, it’s still polisticky.
Long planned change of command my ass. The timing is WAY TOO COINCIDENTAL to be planned.
If this was “long planned”, it would not have been a secret, so you should have no trouble citing and naming sources.
Change of command ceremonies at this level are very public and published months in advance. An article in a e-zine 3 1/2 weeks after the fact is not proof of “long planned”.
I call BS on Jen’s Twitter/ whoever she might be (shilling for). General Ham’s removal came on Stars & Stripes, not just through a rumor mill.

Thank you for this information. There have been some wild rumors floating around about the Benghazi situation, and I suspected the one about General Ham was one of them.
The only way this is silenced at this point is with a full outing of what went on with the general from the man himself. Even then you will have the questions of who got to him and what they are holding over him. You can not end it now. Either way it goes it is a disaster for the dems.
FACT: Gen Ham and Admiral Gaouette both were relieved of command on the spot for refusing to accept orders from the WH to stand down. I know this to be true as I have a personal contact who told me weeks before it came out publicly. Obama CHOSE to let those Americans be murdered by preventing two strike teams to go in to rescue them. As a result, he should be charged with being an accomplice to their murder.
