Uh, I don’t think that makes us better. If someone commits a crime, which it appears the President has done (obstruction of justice comes to mind), we have a system of justice that should not allow him to go free. President or no President. We are all equal under the law and that is what makes America different and better.

As to whether or not Beck is right, I don’t know. His story is plausible. Obama is clearly covering up what really happened. It may have nothing to do with gun running. Several other plausible explanations come to mind as well. Still, the President is not above the law.

This congress and the next if it be Republican will likely do nothing. But when you say impeachment and elections are our way, remember impeachment has criminal penalties. Nixon was pardoned, but not formally impeached. Obama could be impeached and tried. Doubtful he would be convicted because of the civil unrest which would ensue. But it is not un-American to think of trying him criminally.

The trouble I see is like the Senate “Super Majority”. Once the Pubbies talked about changing the rule (nuclear option), the dirty dems will use it politically. Same with prosecution of a President, if conservatives broached the subject, the damn dems would do it, most likely for politics, then its tit for tat until its CW2.

That does not equate to a President’s underlings, going after them can affect the next President to think of the consequences.
