The “Church” is made up of the “faithful”.
Showing up once in awhile doesn’t make one a faithful Catholic.
Many Bishops and Priests spent considerable time and energy, informing their congregants of their responsibility.
The “Church” is fine in that regard.
It is the pretender in need of examining his conscience.
For some reason our voters stayed home. If Romney had just added a few hundred thousand votes to McCain’s total he would have won.
It just may be possible that the words of Ronaldus Maximus below have never rung more true.

I think Romney would have been great on the economy but was he just to “pale” to bring out our voters?
I am a practicing Catholic who has been exasperated by the Catholic bishops’ knee-jerk political liberalism (except for abortion), yet even I don't blame the Catholic Church for the Catholics who helped elect Obama. I'd say 90% of the Catholics I know who go to church every week or almost every week voted for Romney. Of the Catholics I know who go about once a month and on Christmas and Easter, about 70% voted for Romney. As for all those Catholics who never go to church...they are not Catholic; they are “Catholic” and I'd bet 90% of them voted for Obama.
In my personal opinion, most Catholics vote like Jews. They get pilloried by Democrats, but they keep right on voting en mass for them.
1: bamboozled by the treatment of the issue in the MSM ("War on women", all about contraception, as if it would be banned somehow without Obamacare..., and the incessant diminuition of the fundamental Rights to practice one's religion and the Right to life, itself)
and...
2: placing greater priority on 'gimmes' than their spiritual future.
Romney's track record on the issues wasn't in clear contrast to Obama's, either (BIG BOO-BOO GOPe, and many of us said so early on).
Without a clear choice on the issue (Obamacare versus Romneycare, even though Romney said that was a State matter, not Federal), it appears people voted for free phones, etc.
Keep in mind that there are swarming hordes who haven't seen the inside of a church in ages who consider themselves "Catholic", including such notables as Kennedys and SanFran Nan...though it is not mine to judge.
That's quite interesting. I'd have thought it would be higher. Much higher. Here we have some loser blaming Evangelicals for the Romney loss. Yet the truth is Evangelicals were 80/20 for Romney.
Some people were saying that evangelicals would not vote for a Mormon. It looks like that may have been true, at least to some extent.
While I fully agree with the message that Christians are supposed to be salt and light to this country, that's not the endgame the liberal press is driving this narrative towards. The overwhelming majority of evangelicals who showed up at the voting booth did in fact vote for Romney, but that's not today's narrative. Instead, the press takes the one group that poll exits show voted overwhelmingly for Romney, and tells the nation that this same group should be blamed for the next four years, because they sat out the election?
Does anybody smell a set-up here, besides me?
The GOP has problems with blacks, Latinos and single women. They need to appeal to those groups somehow or be locked out of the White House.

The church is big on charity, which is great, but they merged with government to help them collect funds for the charity - charity by force.
Because they got the 30 pieces of silver they wanted, they overwhelmingly supported big government. The congregation simply followed their leaders.
Now, Satan has turned on them, and desires to devour their flesh. How do they turn to their congregation and say "We want them to steal money for us for the sake of the poor, but now it's time to reap what we've sown. Please pray for us and help us get out of this mess we've created for ourselves. "
No offense Catholics. Your hearts were in the right place. It was the for site that was lacking. When you dance with the devil - you get burnt.
This is a teachable moment for Catholics. Charity through the heart - and only from the heart - is truth. Only the truth will keep you free.
Romney cut into Obama’s 2008 percentages with Catholics, Jews, and even the overall Protestant vote. Obama lost support in almost all of those listed. The problem is that Romney didn’t get his base out there.

Christianity lost it’s voice in the 60’s-—with Vatican II and the Jim Wallises of the pseudo-Christian platforms, both twisting and watering down Christian Theology and erasing Traditions and history and the concept of sin—giving rise to heresy and no resistance to socialist ideas. Actually embracing Fabian socialism-—that evil, sodomy cult that all the elites glorify at the Bohemian altars of Baal. It ended the likes of Archbishop Fulton Sheen and the Legion of Decency so children and adults could be easily corrupted and their “thinking” changed—transformed—flipped.
(Now, for those who think that is a “radical” statement-—no—it is normal in the Skull-and-Bones-type group of men who get together and sacrifice while wearing KKK-type costumes—to venerate Satan or Baal or the “architect in the sky” in homosexual orgies-—while they write and control curricula in schools and ideas in movies and music so your children will “think” a certain way.) Control ideas-—you control all perceived ideas. If you have your children in public school and plugged into the TV—they are being manipulated and formed by the sodomites-—Fabian Socialists. Their worldview will be the same. They will judge everything by “emotions” and thus, be easily manipulated. Intellect is grown by reading Classical thought and “doing” not sitting and absorbing the ideas of evil socialists.
Remember, Christianity is in direct conflict (should be) with Socialism, because socialism treats human beings as a means to an end. Never can the dignity of an individual be erased for the “good” of the collective. ALL Christians should HATE the evil of Socialism which Zero preaches. But many infiltrators of the Churches preach socialism and social “justice”—code for Marxism. Subsidiarity is necessary in Christian ideology—autonomy of the family unit.
Pastor Bonhoeffer wrote about the Christian Church in 1931 in America (Rockefeller, jr—Riverside) -—as being “Religionless Christianity” and he explains why. It is important because he was killed by Nazis because he noted the same loss of Christianity in Germany. Catholics self-destructed with Vatican II. Removed the awe and mystery and replaced “worship” with a syncretism which gives paganism and Islam credibility—never before done in Catholic Theology. Errors were noted and never corrected—still this syncretism and ejection of Traditions makes Catholicism no different than Lutherans. One World Religion scenario is still noted by many in the “Catholic” “faith” as the reason for the abrupt change in Catholic Theology-—anti-popes.
Infiltration of the Churches—all Christian ones by Fabian Socialists/Freemasonry—was noted in the encyclical by Pope Pius X in 1907. We have to kick the ideas of Marx (social justice) and “tolerance for evil”—out of the Christian Churches before there will be a Great Awakening—which is sorely needed.
Without Christianity, we will never be exceptional. It is the ideas of self-sacrifice and family which made this nation great and only comes from Christian Ethics.
Without commitment to family and children you will destroy reason and logic in the next generation-—the Laws of Nature— which are the formation of Reason (cause and effect)—which created the great Western Civiliation. We were built using the intellect with Faith in Higher Power....which led to the greatest freedom for the individual and women in the history of the world.
With homosexual marriage—you have lust and selfishness the center of a sexist, illogical view of “family”—which destroys Christian Ethics and leads to the denial of Natural Rights to children to have a loving mother and loving biological father-—the way God designed man to “flourish”. Children are warped under the homosexual paradigm—an artificial illogical construct of family destroys Reason in children and Laws of Nature (Common Sense)—like all homosexual societies (Samurai, Afghanis, all ancient civilizations where women were slaves/chattel—like Ancient Greeks and Rome, etc.)
Without Reason and Logic-—we implode-—or live like all the Middle Eastern countries where little boys can’t wait to have harems of boys when they grow up. Kill ethics and logic in children with homosexuality. It is the Fabian plan—google Sugar Keynes-—that Fabian Socialist whose ideas warped Harvard and all of America through our “educational” system of indoctrination.
Keynes is laughing at us from his hell-hole now in those states that uphold Vice with their passing of homosexual “marriage”. What stupidity and mocking of God!!! and Christianity!!! You tell me if this WASN’T the fault of the Christian Churches-—it was planned-—they were infiltrated to create a godless world where sodomy is the glorification of Satan—the new god.
