1) That spiritual revival will spread across the land.
2) The the U.S. will have the experiences it needs to bring its citizens to repentance.
3) That Obama will have the experiences he needs to bring him eventually to heaven.
( #2 and #3 are somewhat mean spirited prayers so I pray for the same for myself. )
Such a regular poster..except from mid-October until mid-Novebmer...there is another one just like you.
Where were you during the election...several weeks prior, and at least one week after?
I’m just CERTAIN that you spent that month in prayer...LOL! For whom were you working? It certainly wasn’t for our side given this vapid post. Do tell...
Never read where God gives people like yourself to read hearts and define them as being full of hate, when you’ve never even met them or know anything about them. Never read it because it’s not in there. God’s word says, only He can read the heart of man — HAVE YOU SET YOURSELF UP AS GOD? Repent! Jesus said those who know Him, will obey Him! In Romans you can read about reprobates who worship the creation rather than worship God.
I used to pray that our leaders would be guided by wisdom but I stopped when I began to think that very few of them are interested in God. Also, I figured for prophecy to come to pass, leaders will have to do a lot of wicked and traitorous actions.
Maybe Im looking at it the wrong way? I dont want to be a downer.

Yes, you’re looking at it wrong.
PROVERBS 21:1
1 ¶ The king’s heart [is] in the hand of the LORD, [as] the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
... God can change the heart of Obama and Congress, but we need to pray and repent.

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
Matthew 12:34
I don't have to read hearts, when they open their mouths and showed me exactly what is in their hearts. Did you read the snarky bitter drivel I was responding to in the earlier parts of this thread?
Hello Christian Freepers -
I am pinging you back to this thread Christian prayer for President Obama, because you expressed interest in doing so.
Im asking/begging Christians to hold prayer meetings in their homes as many times per week that they can handle, so a holy restoration of Christian living will come per 2 Chronicles 7:14 which says:
#1 WE humble ourselves, pray, seek Gods face, turn from sin
#2 GOD heals the USA
Weve been trying to do #2 with politics, and weve been skipping #1.
Lets do #1, so we GET #2 from the LORD. The LORD did it for Ninevah at Jonahs preaching, and turned his wrath from Ahab, how much more for us?
Evil doesnt have a chance. Lets seek the LORD.

**Please** let me know if I can add you to the Holy Restoration ping list.
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. - James 1:22
We pray every week at Holy Cross and I during the week. They won’t change if we don’t pray for them.
2) Nevertheless, I think it is quite clear from Scripture that we are to pray for our enemies. Barack Hussein Soetoro 0dinga Whatever 0bama is certainly an enemy. I, for my part, pray for his repentance and conversion.
No, we pray that they will govern justly.
thanks
put me on list. I can also drop out later if I choose.
I don't think it works like that. For my part I do pray for President Obama in my morning prayers when I think about it. God can perform miracles and intervene when He wants to. However in many cases God just lets the natural laws run their course. I see little to no correlation between Christian prayers and God deciding to make Christians' life any less physically painful. In fact scripture tells us that we will not have it easy on this Earth as a Christian.
I do believe we should pray for Christ to intervene. After all we have nowhere else to go. I have also personally witnessed miracles performed by Christ. So it DOES happen.
