Government hands out money to 41.3 percent of the entire population.
How odd that’s the same amount of critters that voted for the emperor.

RE: How odd that’s the same amount of critters that voted for the emperor.

Actually 51% voted for the Emperor. If only 41.3% did, Romney would be president.

Yes, I’m collecting SS.
I’ve objected to the SS scheme all my working life. The government forced it on me.
What I wanted was required deductions but private system.
I figure I can collect about 12 yrs. to get back to money/principle I’ve ‘contributed’.
The problem is people collecting that have no business being on the program.
For starters require citizenship to collect.

I assure you that you have contributed no “principle” to any government program

I’m sorry to inform you of this, but you have no right to recover your contributions to Social Security. Social Security is a massive entitlement scheme and unless it’s eliminated, it will bankrupt America. Social Security is no different from any of other public welfare schemes forced onto the American taxpayer.

I once worked out my SS, starting at $15 when I was fourteen, with the gains/losses of the S&P 500 for each year if I had been forced to invest by the Feds. I used the yearly SS summary that they gave me. If my employer had been forced to give the same ‘contribution’ my total at 66 would have been about 4,000,000 bucks. Talk about stealing? How many Kennedys did my money elect?

You already received that money in benefits and government spending. There is no ‘lockbox’. You aren’t ‘collecting what you put in’.

What is happening - is that you’re stealing the money that young people make working. If it was wrong to do to you, why is it right for you to do the same to others?

Ponzi scheme. Unfettered.

Why not raise the age to 75 or 80 vs. 65 for anyone 50 or under, like me?

Make the benefits equal the anticipated lifespans, like insurance companies do via actuary tables?

Why give SSI to every third worker that hits our shores?

One day, I hope there is justice for all the Governments self-serving lies, failure and theft. I just think it will be after my last breath vs. having Reid and every other politician facing Death Row for their deceit.

The author of the article has his head firmly planted in his fourth-point-of-contact. Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid are NOT entitlements. Working people are forced to pay into these programs at the point of a gun. FedGov itself is to blame for the majority of the problems they are experiencing.

If it wasn’t an entitlement, why are they forcing people to pay into it?
