You didn’t say that you would refuse to accept the money, you merely said that you would be well off when you retired.
I pay 15% of my income to SS, I have been paying into SS for almost a half century, some of it is most definitely my money.
It is nice to know that you are vowing to not accept a penny from them, I hope you remember that in 40 years or so, and keep your word.
