Back in the day true blue liberals were allowed to spout their stuff now and then.
Now much much less dissent is allowed. The last purge took place on people who were saying they didn't like the fact that Newt sat on the couch with Pelosi...that was a zottable offense. Don't think it still is anymore but the purges have generally shrunk the population.

I’ve been openly critical of Newt AND Sarah Palin, and I have never even been warned. Perhaps these people also lacked basic social skills and manners.
The circle probably shrunk because shilling for the GOP and excusing their BS isn’t conductive to the reason most people come here. And people who do shill are shredded without mercy. Been that way a long time.
But lately ‘feelings’ rule many minds here so we see more shilling. And so, more shredding.
The problem with allowing true blue liberals to post is that it can become very disruptive. Most people have “facts” to back up their positions. I don’t like threads where each side keeps listing those facts, especially statistics, and no minds are changed. Then you have the moral issues. If someone thinks two guys sodomizing each other or chopping up babies in (or barely out of) the womb is OK, then there’s nothing you or I can say that’s going to change their mind.
