Rodney, good for you. Stay away from Manila, it is too crowded. There are many English speaking people in the Visayan region, you can private message me for more info about that. If you have a Filipina wife, all the better. If you are single, you can get one easily. Most of them are sweet and family oriented.
Hi Mark, and thanks for your kind offer.
I have been in contact with Alex off and on for the last couple of three years and have also done my homework and I know that Manila/QC Metro is the last place in the Phils were I would want to live.
I might live in or around Subic/Olangapo my first year or so to adjust to the culture shock and since that was a former Naval base, it is more Westernized and would give me a chance to learn the ropes although I have been doing my homework and research.
Eventually, I will move to the Visayas, most likely somewhere on Cebu.
While I probably won’t be making my first visit for a few years, it’s never too early to get a jump on things and I will likely retire there by 2016.
Yes, I’m single and I will eventually settle down but plan to have some fun first. Not in the bars on Fields Ave. in AC, but to date several women and to find one that will make a good wife.
My best friend is married to a Pinay here in the States and she is as sweet as can be and just as gorgeous.
He also told me when he visited the Phils with her, he felt like the women there were undressing him with their eyes.
It must be nice to know how the other half lives!
Anyways, thanks again for your offer and let me know when you return to the RP
I’d like to meet up with some ExPats (not SexPats) when I arrive, so I might take you up on your offer in the near-future.
