“Oh for the love of God!! stop attacking our own.”

I think Ted Cruz is great and Marco is OK. Don’t get mad at me because they are not eligible to run for President. Neither is Bobby Jindal and I like him too. But guess who is eligible? Rand Paul, Paul Ryan, Ken Cuccinelli and Scott Walker.

If the Supreme Court wants to take on the issue of NBC and put forth a new definition then fine I’ll be happy to abide by it but the last time they took on the issue in 1870 (Minor vs Happerset) they ruled born in the US of two US citizen parents.

A willing cabal from both sides of the aisle got together in 2008 and allowed Barack Obama to illegally assume the Presidency. He is a perfect object lesson for the reason the framers made the NBC requirement. They wanted to make sure that no person with any possible allegiance to another country or entity would become President. Obama perceives himself as a citizen of the world not the USA. His allegiance is to the UN and the rest of the world not America.

But you can cheer up because my personal belief is that the same cabal that facilitated Obama will also allow Rubio to run for President in 2016 and they will not allow Cruz for reasons that are easy to define if you are a conservative.

I got nothing against Rand Paul, Paul Ryan, Ken Cuccinelli and Scott Walker, but IMHO Ted Cruz is the right stuff.

I could be wrong, but I like what I see.
This guy is fearless and he has a healthy respect for this nations founders.

Cruz and We the people put Dewhurst away when he got a bit to comfy.

The judge in Minor vs Happerset case did not rule that. The comments regarding nBC made by the judge were In dicta and were not part of the decision.

This is simply not true. Minor v Happersett had one or two sentences that might POSSIBLY have been relevant, and those sentences were interpreted by a later Supreme Court to mean that the Minor Court was NOT "committed to the view that all children born in the United States of citizens or subjects of foreign States were excluded from the operation of the first sentence of the Fourteenth Amendment."

The purpose 14th Amendment was to ensure equal application of the rule for who was and was not a citizen by birth, i.e., a natural born citizen.

So in essence, the later Court quoted Minor v Happersett to make a point that was AGAINST the two-citizen-parent claim, NOT in favor of it.

The case that actually established the existing precedent was US v Wong Kim Ark, in 1898. That precedent is that pretty much any child born on US soil is a natural born citizen. And that is settled law. No credible authorities on either side of the aisle give any credence to claims otherwise.

Thank you!!!! I like Jindal too, but he is not eligible. What happened with Obama was an abomination that must be brought to light and rooted out.
