After polling 190,000 conservatives, Contract From America found that Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is the favored GOP presidential pick for 2016, as The Daily Caller reports.

While Paul leads the pack, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio are two other popular choices for 2016. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush are running last in a pool of 32 candidates.

Yeah... I know. He didn’t mention the space program or the fact that Fox still won’t bring back Firefly as a series.

Makes him completely unsuitable as a candidate.

??? His vote for those who have terrorist affiliations working in the US government is okay. Obama has people with connections to many terrorist org. and I assume that's okay too?

Are those my choices?

On the other hand, except for Jeb Bush having the name “Bush”, he’d be better than Rand Paul. Rand Paul has a more liberal immigration policy than Jeb Bush, hard as that might be to believe.

For example, this Rand Paul quote: “I think people want a party that’s a little bit less aggressive on foreign policy, still believes in a strong national defense but less aggressive. They want — the young people want politicians who don’t want them in jail for 20 years for a nonviolent drug position charge. So, they want a little bit different phase. I think people want a little different phase on immigration frankly. They don’t want somebody who wants to round people up, put them in camps, and send them back to Mexico.”

Paul says he isn’t for amnesty, but he doesn’t want to send the illegal immigrants back to Mexico, and he favors comprehensive immigration plans.

Maybe Bush is a little different than Paul on this, but it is hard to see a big difference.

Rand got up there and tried to do the right thing. You seem upset he didn’t mention your minutia in his 13 hour effort.

My point is, don’t lose sight of the good by whining about a personal point of interest.

Too bad Sarah Palin is not now “a senator from Alaska.”

What in hell is she up too?

How about gutting the ability of middle class workers to organize for more bargaining power at the labor market table?

So in other words ... you are in favor of Public Sector labor unions? Like these well meaning organizing folk?

Dr. Paul does not support amnesty. Those who come here should respect our laws. Dr. Paul supports legal immigration and recognizes that the country has been enriched by those who seek the freedom to make a life for themselves.

Yes, still too many middle class people left to decimate.

He wants to reduce their number by 10%?

Yeah, p. much. I’m also in favor of private unions. I think part of the reason we’ve seen so much wage stagnation during the last 30-40 years along with skyrocketing corporate profits is the disempowerment of labor to organize and provide a counterbalance to the vast amount of power employers have in wage/benefit negotiations.

Hey lakeshark, no one has to actually lose their job. Taking away part of their power to negotiate does a pretty good job too.

This is what they left behind in trash. It doesn't even show the millions of dollars of damage they did to the building itself. Wonderful, engaging, deep thinking, compassionate people these libs.........

*needs fixing*

This is what you meant: Taking away part of their power to negotiate blackmail the public into giving them more than they deserve does a pretty good job too.

I think that's what you meant, at least that's what Franklin Roosevelt thought. I'm betting you didn't know that........

Isnt Christie a moonbat liberal democrat????? Jeb Bush has no chance. Face it Rand is the only choice. The stubborn idiotic GOP is to be blamed for Obama. McCain and Romney were awful. Rand Paul makes more sense than any of the so called conservatives. Maybe if the GOP had grown some balls and nominated Ron Paul we wouldnt be on the 2nd term of this assclown.
