Rep. Cassidy is a nice man and a loyal Rove Republican, Maness said, and that is the problem. A Rove Republican cant beat Mary Landrieu.
Ha!! A Rove Republican! Exactly the phrase that should stick and be used far and wide to paint establishment candidates. This is man to support in Louisiana, ladies and gentlemen!
Cassidy == Rove Republican
Maness == Rogue Conservative
He should work this into his campaign theme. Gotta get the image to stick in people’s heads.
Like we need another RINO.
Time to Maness Up and save our Republic!
A pleasant surprise! Usually when one sees a headline reading “X cannot beat Y”, it is because X is “too extreme” or “polarizing”, or doesn’t have a history of handing out goodies.
I like seeing someone go the other way on this. On the face of it, his motivations are the right ones. Go Maness.
And double points for using the tag “Rove Republican”. Gets the point across in two words, five syllables and with alliteration. Good.
And this line is great: We dont believe that Rep. Cassidy will take away enough votes from us for it to be a concern.”
Ha! I really like this guy!
Also, it kind of sounds like Rogue Republican.
I mean, when it comes to politics Rove is a real rogue, not a liberal sound-bite “rogue.” He’s introduced more corruption and damage into our country than almost anyone else, short of the Demo Commies.
And what’s great is if this gets around, politicans will be scared to death of associating themselves with Rove or his political group. And judging from the string of establishment losers last November, they’d be wise to do so.
You’ll know that it achieves critical mass is Sean Hannity, mindful of image and ratings, stops inviting Rove on so that Sean can lick his shoes.
Like!
I thought Cassidy was an okay conservative. Was I wrong? What RINO crap did this guy vote for?
The article is BS. Cassidy is a solid conservative. I’m from Louisiana and know whereof I speak. No one has ever heard of this new candidate, and has no political record, unlike Cassidy.
The only reason this story is being reported is that Louisiana newspapers who are 100% behind Landrieu want to give him ink and hope to draw votes from Cassidy.
“I thought Cassidy was an okay conservative. Was I wrong? What RINO crap did this guy vote for?”
He’s only at 80% on the Club for Growth rating, #77

Well, I’m glad I got a response from a Louisiana freeper. I’m going to be doing all I can to help us take the senate from the rats, and I want to know we’ve got good candidates to run in these red states. Bruising primary battles could hurt us.
I know the Louisiana news media like the back of my hand. Many of the reporters I’ve met over the years. Most are totally ignorant, but the ones who are connected and really know what is going on are completely sold on Progressive theory.
Seldom do they report something without an ulterior motive.
I’m for any candidate who says they will stand with Cruz, Lee and Paul. If Cassidy will do so also, let them battle it out.
Maness is a cipher. I’ve been politically active here for 35 years. The Louisiana press is boosting him to damage Cassidy.
I’ll take your word for it. I remember when Cassidy announced that some were not too impressed. I’d like to see the most conservative candidate nominated. Only conservatives go after liberals. Moderates and go along republicans don’t have the stomach for the fight.
Louisiana has an open primary, so there will be no “nominating” primary. Of our sitting congressmen, possibly only Scalise is more conservative than Cassidy. Fleming toyed with the idea of running several months ago, but backed out.
If you have a feel for the political world there, do you think Landrieu can be beaten? And by Cassidy?
