If there is a secession movement, which side will San Antonio and Austin be on?
IMHO there will eventually be a secession movement that takes place in the form of a virtual rather than physical secession. In this scenario, one or more states would essentially refuse to go along with federal mandates, laws or policies that run counter to state laws, are impossible to fund, or otherwise adversely impact the people in a given state.
Consider the rise of so-called sanctuary cities in left wing cities. This is another form of ignoring federal laws. The same thing can be done by conservative states just on a bigger scale.
Does it matter, in the long run? How many of the birkenstock wearers in Austin can lay in a gun or a mortar?

The dead side.
Who knows about the transients, but Texans are Texans like Marines are Marines.
