While I would like to see it happen, I don't think it will. The BSA National "suits" did their projections and told us in APR when they announced the new membership resolution, they expected to lose 300,000, or 11.5% of the 2012 membership number of 2.6 million.
Sadly, I think that number may be closer to reality. Society at large seems to have punched the express elevator button to hell.
If only it were that simple. Most Scouting volunteers would probably agree ... BUT ... if the boy is a flamer, that will cause problems and as so many others have pointed out an older homosexual scout could very easily sexually abuse younger scouts should he choose.

Florida had felt the brunt of the communist threats during the CMC.

#17 Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

#25 Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
