‘Flip-flops like this’: Sarah Palin calls out Sen. Rubio for supporting amnesty

Sarah Palin @SarahPalinUSA:

Politicians wonder why we can't trust them? Campaign flip-flops like this and carve-out bribes in the Amnesty... http://fb.me/2IsL1uspC

Palin’s tweet links to a story from TownHall.com detailing Sen. Marco Rubio’s (D-Fla.) flip-flop over amnesty for illegal immigrants.

During a debate with opponents Rep. Kendrick Meek and Gov. Charlie Crist, candidate Rubio argued that giving illegal immigrants an “earned path to citizenship,” which Crist, Sen. John McCain and former President George W. Bush had advocated, is basically amnesty.

Rubio, who won that 2010 election, is now the leading Republican in the U.S. Congress pushing for illegal aliens to be given the earned path to citizenship that he himself insisted was “code for amnesty” only three years ago

Snowden opens the intelligence files and is called a traitor.

What must we call Senators Rubio and Graham and Corker etc. etc. etc. for opening up our borders and giving amnesty to the millions who have illegally invaded our country???????

Bill Cunningham spoke of the media driving this on his radio show tonight but he failed to for whatever reason to tell us what Rush Limbaugh was at least willing to admit that business interests who will benefit from cheap labor are supporting this amnesty bill.

Agreed 100%. Much like "diversity" and "tolerance", the term "nuance" is favorite of leftists. It's much like how the sodomites have hijacked the word "gay" for their abomination, the sin of homosexuality. Free Republic is for Conservative activism and, in my opinion, is being disrupted by liberal infiltrators.

< I sorta checked out the blackmail angle on Rubio trying to give him every advantage I could. I really supported him at one time, but all I found was an ancient espanol hissy fit involving Uninvision TV and Rubio’s brother-in-law on a coke charge which doesn’t even get an acknowledgment in South Florida. Hardly blackmailable. >

Think outside the box. Outside of what one would normally view as dirt that is discoverable. A person can be taped inside his own home very easily now since so many devices can be turned on remotely. Just about everyone has a TV in their bedroom. Many TVs are Internet-connected and have built-in mics and cameras. So do gaming consoles. And smart phones now have cameras on front and back, making it harder to stay out of view (much less earshot). Until this NSA story broke, the typical person was unaware of the possible hacks on their phone and didn’t know to reach for the duct tape to cover the lens when he’s participating in his favorite vice. Or to take the battery out during all that pillow talk.

“Blackmailable material” has been redefined. It truly could be anything we do, in any room of our house and anywhere we go, going back for as long as we’ve had ‘smart devices.’ (5 to 10 yrs?). That’s a LOT of potential embarrassing behavior that could be stored somewhere.

I miss the good old days of stolen FBI files.

For blackmail to work you have to have a willing subject, someone who is crooked enough to do what you want, rather than suffer whatever the exposure of things he does would cost him.

Part of being a good person is that even if you have something that you can be blackmailed on, is that you don’t submit and commit truly despicable deeds and betrayals and crimes, you merely tell them, do what you will, but here I take my stand, fame, fortune, dignity, prestige, status, power, can all be stripped from me, I will face whatever the cost rather than go down your road.

I can understand the ideological motives of the America-hating communist democrats doing so, but the Republicans voting for it are doing it for the money.

Either that or someone caught them bending a page over.

I believe, with few exceptions, the GOP on the hill is either seriously compromised or sold out.

Jeb Bush says that these immigrants are fertile, and that this somehow makes the case for allowing millions of new immigrants, as well as amnesty for those already here.

Amazing how fertile you can be when someone else is paying medical bills, EBT cards, subsidizing your housing, and you don't pay any taxes.

Those footing the bill for all that have to make financial ends meet, and that places limits on progeny.

Get the welfare monkey off the Middle Class' back, and they'll be able to afford more children.

“My” road? Odd that you would assume which road i would take should i ever find myself being blackmailed. Perhaps it’s early and you misread my reply. Drink more coffee and reread.

There just seems to be an *awful* amount of RINOs lately doesn’t there?

They have always been there. They are just coming out of their various closets.

WATCH IN DEEP ADMIRATION AS OUR HEROINE ANN COULTER DOES MORE THAN HER PART TO DEFEAT THE IMMIGRATION..BILL...SHE’S OUT THERE EVERYWHERE SHE’S MAGNIFICENT...THANKS ANN!

We need Congress to appear before the following select panel.

Judge Jeanine Shapiro

Ann Coulter

Laura Ingram

Sarah Palin

All of the BS would disappear then.

Metafugitive is correct.

Palin is a force of nature. Part of the problem with Palin being with FNC is that it’s up to Ailes as to when Sarah can go on with FOX.

Palin is foursquare against Amnesty, so they won’t put her on Prime Time.

She will have to take to Twitter and Public Speaking, which they can’t control.

"That's not being fired when a contract is not renewed."

Tell that to Paula Deen. Otherwise, your post is on target. Fox's leftward move has been pretty obvious to even the casual observer so bringing back Sarah is throwing a bone to conservatives.
