It is various cultures I have kneejerk negative reactions to, not individuals.
When we use household words and are now accused of using code words... and when we can't criticize the buffoon because he is 25% something, and when we are told by the Bolsheviks that almost anything we say is "racist," yeah, we get a little touchy. On top of all of that, anyone even using that Boy Who Cried Wolf word is typically the actual racist.
That’s funny Mr. Nakagawa since in my experience the Japanese are hands down the most naturally racist people on the planet. Racism being an irrational judgement based on physical appearance AND a sense of one’s own race being inherently superior to all others.
But whites don’t waste a lot of time going around pointing fingers - or at least they didn’t use to. For the last 5-6 years the race card has been tossed about so vigorously that it has lost virtually all meaning.
So I imagine that most of that “touchy” you’re talking about is nothing more than Liberal Projection.
Have yourself a rainbow sorta day sport ;-)
I admit I used this to get out last time. I served on a hung jury a few years back and enough for me. Some black guy was going on and on about how much injustice he’s seen at the hands of dirty cops and white people and everyone was suckin’ up to him and he was lovin’ it; so I just said I’d had too many run ins and seen too much bad behavior and crime from people of diversity to be unbiased.
Generally speaking I find the ones calling out racist at every turn, are in fact the racists. The word just doesn’t matter to me any longer.

If I’m not disoriented at the moment, that author of this rant is Oriental, isn’t he?
Scot, you can call me any damn thing you like.
The implication of the article is that white people (actually, only albinos are white) have a monopoly on “racism”. The article itself suggests that it was written by a bigot.
Ask Paula Dean if being called racist warrants being "touchy".
Maybe it’s because we don’t like false accusations?
I'm so confused.
I’m not so much a racist as I am tired of the whiny races.
If someone came down from Mars and asked the question, it would be a valid question.
First, rephrase the question to make it logical: Why are SOME White people so touchy?
Because it’s the unforgiveable sin. Martha Stewart went to prison, and is now back on TV. Her crime was forgiven. Not so for Paula Deen. Just the accusation is enough to get a person fired, shamed, and to ruin his/her career.
Al Sharptin is no doubt a lawbreaker and a racist, but he was prominent at a democrat party convention. He now gets paid for his opinion, just as if he were an honest, respectable person.
If you’re a certified liberal, or a member of a specially-privileged minority victim group, you have a free pass and you will not be punished.
It’s too complicated for a Martian to understand, and I don’t even understand it.
Why are they touchy at being called racismists?
Racismists - people that, if you don’t agree with them 100% on everything pertaining to race, or touching on race no matter how tangentially, they call you racist.
These people have an industry going. They aren’t ever going to voluntarily turn in their race card. See racism is everywhere. You don’t even know you’re a racist you white cracker.
That’s why it’s never going away.
The people who are racists today are the ones earning a living off of the race card. They are the ones that see it everywhere because they have a preconceived worldview that says it’s everywhere. They are the ones that ALWAYS look at things in terms of race. They look at people’s color first. They are living and promoting the opposite of MLK’s dream.
I will take DOJ crime stats for my reality of race relations and what’s racist, any day, over these racebaiting vampires. My common sense trumps their inane shrieking insults of “racist” and “cracker” any day.
