Agreed. If this was 1970 when we had an unemployment rate of 3.5% or 4.0%, I'd be among the first to yell, "get a job!" In today's world, not so much now. I'm not for giving up but I understand that it is very hard to get a good job now. I'm looking myself although I'm also burdened with taking care of Mom now, she's fighting breast cancer. I know this adds to our fiscal mess, I know people who just have given up and went on disability. On one hand, I can't blame them, you gotta do what you can do to survive but that is no solution either.

Yeah taking care of dad with dementia took me out of the job pool and he died early 2009 right when financial industry crashed ( I was commercial industrial insurance) and have been grateful for anything I can get ever since.
