His birthday isn’t until Sunday, but President Barack Obama received an early birthday surprise Wednesday during his caucus meeting with Congressional Democrats.
U.S. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco), known for her affinity for dark chocolate, presented Mr. Obama with a dark chocolate cake topped with the presidential seal and frosted with the words “Happy Birthday, Mr. President.”
Congress will be on summer break on Mr. Obama’s Aug. 4 birthdate, when he turns 52, so Pelosi decided to give him the cake and celebrate in advance.

Zullo stated that August 4, 1961 could have been the day the plane from Kenya landed in Hawaii and was used as Obama’s birthday for the record. August 4, 1961 was the day that Virginia Sunahara was born, she died the following day and her death notice was published on August 8, the same date the birth certificate for zero was lodged with the local registrar.
Virginia’s death certificate, because it had been issued in the name of her father Tomiyo Sunahara, was amended on August 29, showing a birth certificate number 400+ past her date of birth.
