Now that is some interesting info— and explains my having to re-wire some 1/4 inch female jacks that kept going loose and dropping signal. Use ProCables for bulk sourcing and make own— what I do.
I used to use ProCo Whirlwinds exclusively, but these days one would be hard pressed to find them for instrument cables.
