I still have one from latter half of the 90’s. It went on the road twice with me, and hit the stage locally for over 200 shows ide guess? Its now relagated to home use with no repairs yet, but it goes in my gig bag as a backup where ever I happen to go play at. I will attribute this to the mogami cable and neutrik ends that it is made with. The solder joints arent even as neat as I make on my own, nor are the cable to jack joints shrink wrapped like I put on mine. You cant go wrong with the cables he makes as long as they are his brand. I just find it easier to buy in bulk and make my own.
Thanks, Necrovore
Deeply appreciate all of your info. I’ve decided to go with the Planet Wave. Don’t wish to spend that much on the cables until our son really starts gigging. Actually, today was his first time out playing solo. Just one tune. Although, we-as a family-have performed on a number of occasions, and he’s performed for piano recitals for years.
He played well. He possesses the drive (practicing in the room as I type) and talent, and aspires to go pro. So we’ll upgrade as he continues to grow as a musician. When the time comes, I’ll be revisiting this thread, and your posts.
Best Regards,
TJI
