I’ll explain “slutwalking” to all you hidebound women-hating tut-tutters who are completely out of step with your culture:

Society demands that women be sexually active at increasingly younger ages. Men won’t date women who won’t have sex. No sex, no third date. No third date, no marriage.

Among women, it’s still all about competition for men who are willing to get married. Women who won’t have sex aren’t even in the game. Women didn’t make these rules — men did. And men are the enforcers, because men decide when, if, and ever a marriage will take place.

It used to be that having a child would make a man step up to the altar. That doesn’t work anymore. So women have upped the ante and learned to pole dance, in order to compete with the porn star on the computer.

If women dress like porn stars, it’s only because that’s what you wear in the big leagues, just like an NBA jersey. If they have lots of sex, it means they’re playing to win. Hate the game, not the players.

All the “slutwalker” culture is asking is that society acknowledge the rules of the game and not shame women for trying to win. Once “sluts” get married, they’re relieved to hang up their thongs.

I've seen feminists try to use the ridiculous term "sex positive" to attempt to turn a negative into a positive.

Despite your lumping of all men into a category of jerks, I do not agree that all men want to date “sluts”. There are lots of men who are respectable, religious, (at least enough to have some standards), and who want to eventually fall in love and marry. They want to avoid such women so as to protect themselves against false accusations, and STD’s.

Nice guys are just as concerned about the lack of potential spouses out there as the nice women are.

I never once said men are jerks. I offered no value judgement whatsoever (except toward posters on this thread who are quick to blame women for the current state of affairs).

I said men make the rules because women want marriage more than men. Men decide if, when, and ever a marriage takes place. How often do women propose to men? Never. That’s the way it’s always been. How is that calling men “jerks?”

By “nice guys” and “nice women,” do you mean there are a great number of single men and women out there who are dating and not having sex? You’re simply wrong. Every statistic available contradicts that. What you know to be true from your own observations contradicts that.

The only chaste unmarried men and women are social outliers, like Mormons or the Amish. They are not mainstream America. Slut culture is mainstream America. I never called anyone, male or female, a jerk. I’m simply reporting what is.

Men, even conservative Free Republic posters, will not “date” a women who won’t have sex. That is the culture now. Sex is part of dating. And that’s how “slut culture” arose. I’m just trying to explain how it happened, not offering any value judgements on men or women.

Right now I am reading Adolphus Huxley's “Brave New World”. It was written in 1932 as social satire but in today's world it looks more like truth and where we are going.
In his book men and women are encouraged to have as much sex as possible. Lot more to it than that but it reads more like the reality we are becoming rather than the satire and sci-fi it was way back in 1932.

Very few men want to marry (or even date) some gal who qualifies as "everybody's good time".

You are way off base here. Promiscuous women rapidly reduce their market value. Men will readily refer to them as "not marriage material", and even worse.
