Russia Sends Two Marine-Carrying Ships To The Mediterranean
Zerohedge ^ | 09/03/2013 | Tyler Durden

Posted on 09/03/2013 2:36:45 PM PDT by Rusty0604

“The Russian Navy continues stage-by-stage rotation of warships and support ships of the standing naval force in the Mediterranean,” the spokesman said. “Having passed through the Bosporus and Dardanelles straits, the big landing ships will reach the designated area in the Mediterranean Sea on September 5 or 6 to start their mission under the command of the remote zone headquartered onboard the big anti-submarine ship of the Russian Pacific Fleet Admiral Panteleyev.” Currently, one of the key tasks of the Russian standing naval force in the Mediterranean is “comprehensive monitoring over the air, underwater and surface situation in the zone of its deployment,” the Russian defence ministry said, adding that the rotation of Russian warships in the Mediterranean Sea would continue till mid-September. Summarizing the balance of power so far:

•2 US amphibious assault ships are about to be matched by 2 Russian amphibious assault ships. That's a lot of marines. •The US still outnumbers Russia with 5 destroyers including 4 from the strike group surrounding the USS Nimitz carrier which is also slowly approaching Syria. Our prediction: the next ship to be dispatched in direction Syria will be the missile cruiser Moskva, the "flag ship of the Black Sea fleet" and more of its affiliated warships, which was last deployed in November of 2012 during the 8 day escalation between Israel and Gaza which culminated in Operation Pillar of Defense. That, and a whole lot of submarines.

Good afternoon.

My boss is blaming it all on the Republicans. He actually believes, fervently, that Obama would have solved everything by now if the Republicans hadn’t stood in the way.

Same with my sister in law. So I say to her, the Publicans only have 1/3rd of the government, how can they stand in 0bama's way? How did the Publicans stand in 0bama's way when he and his party controlled the ENTIRE government for two years?

After some very uncomfortable silence, "can I get you a beer?"

She/They will actually tell you that the debt and deficit problem is/was caused by Bush. When you go to the computer to pull up the answer, they refuse to look.

Can be frustrating at times.

Blame it on the republicans who voted for it.

Yes, I am convinced that you are correct.

Why is it in all of our wars a Democrap was the one that instigated it?

I am still confused about what is going on over there. Really haven’t been paying attention due to personal reasons but it seems AQ is fighting the incumbent regime and there are no good guys to side with. Obama seems to be torn about who to support and he likes them both, being the Muslim Brotherhood member that he is, and Russia is think we should stay out of it. Considering I have respect for Putin and no respect for Obama I am having a tough time not supporting Russia in all this.

“Wouldn’t it be ironic if this incompetent fool for whom liberals voted manages to get us into WW3? I wonder what they would do then?”

Nothing sticks to Dems. Wilson got us into WWI, then set up the vaunted League of Nations that set the stage for WWII. In 1940, as the world stood on the brink of a war of Wilson’s making, the American people happily voted a third term for Wilson’s protégé.

Wilson got us the Federal Reserve and an income tax too, and we’ve been paying as a nation ever since. Obama the arrogant got a Nobel Peace prize too. Nothing sticks to the Dems because the commies own the propaganda machine in the USA just as in the Soviet Union. They perfected propaganda while the sheep lap it up.

There are a lot of establishment people pushing this new war that arrogantly think they will be safe on the sidelines and excluded when this blows up. They are going be wrong because at a minimum if this surgical bs expands to a WW3, the only thing left standing in the entire ME region are going to be little molten glass beads.

Come to think of it, a lost ME might not be a bad outcome for the USA. No more WOT. We can use our energy self sufficiency to our own advantage, and we no longer need a foreign policy that is devoted to the ME, while the USA goes down the tubes.

It appears that many liberals don't study history. If they did, I don't know how they could believe as they do.

I want to know what McCain, obama, Pelosi, boner, Reid, Rubio et al thinks Russia would do if we fired a few missiles at a country they consider an ally. Especially after we warned them not to do it.

...now he's come out as a full-blown racist.

And justifiably so. Obama is of a race of monkeys that call for discrimination when dealing with them.

Don't have too many Family Dinners.
Everyone lives too far away, thank goodness. I thought I had my B-I-L’s mind right, but he pulled a Cool Hand Luke on me.

Apparently, the Mesmerizing Power of the Muslim Marxist Mulatto cannot be denied.

For sure.

Marines..... that means land deployments. So right after Zero gets congress ok, Assad invites Russian troops and then Zero gets to decide, abort or open fire on the Russians.

Sheesh.

No wonder Pope Francis is asking for a day of prayer and fasting.
