UPDATE: Shellie Zimmerman Admits There Was No Gun During Altercation With Husband September 10 2013 by Dan Cannon
Yesterday, we, along with the every other website in the world, reported that George Zimmerman was being questioned by police over a potential domestic disturbance with his estranged wife, Shellie Zimmerman.
During initial reports, Shellie’s comments to a 911 operator were widely publicized in which she said Zimmerman was making threats while having his hand on a firearm.
Police did not recover a firearm during the incident, and both Shellie and her father (who was allegedly hit by George Zimmerman) declined to press charges.
George Zimmerman was released without incident.
Now, it seems that Shellie Zimmerman is backtracking on her story that a gun was involved in the incident at all.
According to USA Today,
Deputy Police Chief Colin Morgan said officers did not recover a gun, and Bracknell said Shellie Zimmerman later dropped her claim that a gun was involved.
“Domestic violence can’t be invoked because she has changed her story and says she didn’t see a firearm,” Bracknell said.
The dispute “was between him and his wife and her father,” Morgan said. “There were some allegations that there had been an assault, but we could not confirm any of it.”
So it sounds like reports that Zimmerman was going to be back in the public eye over an issue with a gun were unfounded.
“Well, she IS a known perjurer.”
She’s in good (bad) company.

She lied and could have gotten him killed when police arrived on scene, thinking they had an ARMED person acting in a threatening, perhaps violent way.
There was no way that Zimmerman would pull a gun on his wife after being arrested and held for trial on murder charges. Why would he put himself in that position again. Looks more like his wife wants her fifteen minutes of fame.
They'll arrest him in 24 business hours.
Seeing how libs jumped on this I guess Zimmerman can now add an additional 30 million lawsuits to the 10 gabillion he already has lined up.
Well, there is a video of it, so looks like she is backing off.
Um, no. The world needs more married men with morals. Not less.
The media accurately reported what was on the 911 call. So they can't be sued for this one (not successfully, anyway).
That would certainly simplify the divorce and the division of assets. She sounds like a piece of work.
George needs to stay far, far away from this gal.

In the USA Today / Associated Press take on these new facts of yesterday’s story, they led with several paragraphs retelling the story of a terribly frightened wife in the presence of an assaulting man with a gun.
USA Today presented the news of there being no evidence of an actual assault as, instead, Shellie Zimmerman “not pressing charges.”
Only in paragraph eight does USA Today (and its three scumbag reporters: William M. Welch, John Bacon and Doug Stanglin) report the new news that there was no gun present during the altercation.
In other words, CBS retold the George-Zimmerman-as-assaulting-husband-with-gun story in a new news story which should have presented the new news that Zimmerman did NOT assault his wife and did NOT have a gun.

The only question at this point is if the estranged wife can get out of this without another conviction.
She lied her fat butt off. Lock her up.

George should now consider himself lucky times two.
Has this man not been through enough? This trash wife is now looking for HER 15 minutes of fame...look for a book deal and her taking this poor man down even further.
Your point assumes an increase in the number of women with morals.
I would submit to you that isn’t happening anytime soon, and modern “hook up culture” feminism means that we’re actually going the wrong way.
I would further advise you to look at the jobs market, the biological programming called “hypergamy” and the proportion of divorces initiated by women overall, and the far larger proportion initiated by women with at least a Bachelor’s degree.
The financial and legal stats back up my position. Your position might be a very good goal for the whole of civilization, but my concern is with the financial, criminal and civil future of only young men, who are getting the shaft now, and who will get it even worse once Obamacare kicks in.
The stats show my position is the correct and logical one to support.
