I've always heard that in Mexico and other Latin American countries filled with lots of Catholics that husband regularly have mistresses...yet they won't feel any less of a Catholic for it...

Jesuit influence - not simply Catholic. The Pope kicked them out years ago but made the mistake of letting them come up for air. Now they are back and behind all the stupid unholy nonsense we see.
Fat chance the current pope does anything though since Francis is a Jesuit.
