it defeats the purpose of them creating the content to begin with—which is to attract visitors to their sites.

So you admit you are just using Free Republic as a free source of advertising.

Actually, I’m posting content that many in the community, being fairly like minded, might find interesting. I’m enriching the community who calls Free Republic home, and Free Republic at the same time. I’m still waiting for someone to cite a rule I’ve broken. Also, it’s interesting that you level the charge of using FR for free advertising, when your position is apparently that you and everyone should enjoy free content. You’re missing the tradeoff that makes Free Republic so cool a destination that it attracts hundreds of thousands of people. But I guess you have and opinion and an ass and you want to show both of them.
