If that is true they could legally shoot anybody in the Capitol area at any time, under the same reasoning...
I’m not buying that “kill them because they may detonate a bomb” approach. Wouldn’t a terroist who was expecting to die anticipate their death and simply rig a deadmans switch to detonate the explosives? Killing them would set it off.

I would think if a person had a car bomb they wouldn’t draw attention to themselves the way she did.
Of course without knowing what was going on at the time, that's an understandable reaction.
Yet it doesn't seem to cross her mind and Wulf Blitzer's mind that now after the fact when we find out that the driver was unarmed, that ALL the frightening bullets and gun fire came from the police who shot a woman on a public street.
Blitzer ends the interview saying that he was glad that the woman was safe, but in actuality there was never a time where this woman wan't safe from the driver.
