Succinctly accurate, especially the part at the end when the waiter strolls by. One way to fix this is to force Congressmen to set up their offices in their home district and do most of their business by teleconference. Two weeks out of the year, they will travel to Washington and vote on important matters, like the budget. But all of their main business will be handled from their district office.

I would add to your great idea, no law shall run more than 3 pages, double spaced of typing paper. Must be in regular english so all citizens can read and understand the law..

I back you 100 percent. This concept should be on the agenda of every conservative in Washington. It’s a good place to start cutting the budget considering the money that could be saved on security, travel, housing, etc. There was a movement to decentralize during the Bush years.
