An Open Letter to Barack Obama from a Proud Navy Veteran
DC Clothesline ^ | 11/26/2013 | Brett W. Bourg

Posted on 11/26/2013 5:15:27 AM PST by IbJensen

Mr. Obama

I am a 54 year old white male, born and raised in Texas. I grew up in an area that was racist to the core, Klan rallies on a regular basis, a Klan bookstore on Main Street. In spite of all that, I was raised to respect others, if not by my parents, by school teachers and others who were open minded and willing to look beyond skin color or other things that make one person different from another. As a young Marine, my grandfather served in China before WWII, my father served in Korea, and after High School I enlisted in the Navy. In other words, I was raised to respect my country, my flag, and all that it stands for. I served my country honorably for thirteen years, I worked in law enforcement for a short time after leaving the Navy. To this day I take the oath I swore to the People of this Nation, and our Constitution very seriously, it has no expiration date.

What you, your predecessor, and our other so called “leaders” of the House and Senate are doing to this country is reprehensible. When you were first elected I felt there might be a real possibility for change, but your lies and failed policies, your refusal to accept ANY responsibility, your total lack of respect for the people of this nation is appalling to say the least. You spend millions to keep your past hidden. You say one thing one day (” We are not listening to your phone calls”), and something totally different the next ( “You can’t have 100% security, and also then have 100% privacy and zero inconvenience,” ). You sir, (and I use the word “sir” very loosely) are a complete and total fraud. You and all the others sent to Washington were sent there to represent US and our interests as a Nation, not to dictate and tear down the fabric of our society. All of you were elected to serve the country as a whole, not the special interests.

As long as I draw breath, I and others like me, will resist your efforts to destroy our Constitution and our way of life. I am proud to be an American, I am proud of my heritage and I shall resist your efforts to drag this country down to third world status. I have been a law abiding citizen all my life. I have played by the rules, gave up a good portion, if not the best years of my life in defense of this Nation. I refuse to sit idly by as you and your cohorts tear this country apart with your race baiting and other divisive tactics. I DO NOT FEAR YOU, and I shall not live in fear. Again, your job is to serve We the People.

With Extreme Resolve

Bret W. Bourg

I lost interest there, increasingly at ‘if not by my parents, by my teachers’ (we need the government schools to keep us from being racist) and started scrolling at ‘I felt...’ Instead of, ‘I thought’. Do t personally know any self respecting military man who uses the word eel, instead of ‘thought’

Whenever I see rants like this, I always cut loose long before the end. Waste of everyone’s effort, especially mine.

IMO, this is the middle finger we were given for SPEAKING our minds about Syria.

In Obama’s simple brain, all of America should just shut up until the next election because the country has already spoken and decided to give him another term. Too bad that most of these votes were cast on the WORDS that he spoke and many of those words turned out to be lies!

He paved the way for Obama by doing nothing in regards to eliminating a deadly deficit

On this point, I have to disagree. Prior to Pelosi and Reid taking over Congress, the average budget deficit over Bush's two terms was around $250B

The Facts About Budget Deficits: How The Presidents Truly Rank

We can average the deficit-to-GDP ratio during a presidential term and get a good take on whether “deficits were enormous” in historic terms or not. The only tricky part is whether to give a president credit (or blame) for his incoming and outgoing years. For example, President Reagan took office on Jan. 20, 1980, but fiscal year 1980 started four months earlier. Similarly, he left office Jan. 20, 1989, but fiscal 1989 still had four months to run.

I decided to use three sets of calculations for each president: first, the deficit-to-GDP ratio from the fiscal year he took office to the fiscal year he left minus one (thus, for Reagan: 1981-88); second, from his first fiscal year plus one to the fiscal year he left (thus, 1982-89); and third, an average of the first two

Here are the ratios of deficit to GDP for the past five presidents:

Ronald Reagan
1981-88 4.2 %
1982-89 4.2
Average 4.2

George H. W. Bush
1989-92 4.0
1990-93 4.3
Average 4.2

Bill Clinton
1993-2000 0.8
1994-2001 0.1
Average 0.5

George W. Bush
2001-08 2.0
2002-09 3.4
Average 2.7

Barack Obama
2009-12* 9.1
2010-12 8.7
Average 8.9

In short, GWB, like his father, was a ‘moderate’ which means he stood for very little while straddling the center line.

Straddling the center line accomplishes very little beyond airing a rectum!!!

“IF 0bummer leaves the White House at some point can you imagine the damage his “team” will do when leaving?

Remember when the Clintons left and what was broken and stolen?”..

Odumboand his ilk have already done unrepairable damage to this nation and it’s people, stealing and damaging physical property is nothing compared to their already prior accomplishments.

agree with you. Just realize we retired military and vets are on their red list when the SHTF. It will be ugly, and our families will pay the price again for our patriotism.

Our oaths have no time limits...and there is no limit to their cruelty and evil. The masks will come off and those who oppose them in any way will be eliminated. That’s why obummer will not give up on gun confiscation. Control everything (access to food and water, healthcare, money, travel, self-defense, etc) is the way it has always been for tyrants and dictators.

No where to go, cept maybe Israel or Angola. And good luck with those cuz the world will come against Angola for taking a stand against the Islamists, and Israel will stand by itself according to the Bible. Yep, living in the End Times is like being on a runaway car on a thrill ride. You know eventually your car is gonna jump the rails and not end so well...So get right with your loved ones and most importantly the Lord.

This Triple-Amputee Iraqi War Hero’s Open Letter To Obama Shames Him For Who He Is

“You’ve been a joke to most of our veteran community, and we have no faith in your ability to lead.”

Senior Airman Ret. Brian Kolfage USAF — May 13, 2014

http://www.westernjournalism.com/triple-amputee-iraqi-war-heros-letter-shames-president-united-states/#Kyd9KVxqA6HlqscT.99

Editor’s note: Below is the full text of an open letter written to Barack Hussein Obama. Mr. Kolfage has, as you will read, gone through a lot since signing up to fight in Iraq in service to our country. This guy is a REAL American hero if you ask us.

I nearly died in a war that you and most of your colleagues supported overwhelmingly, including the two presidents who came before you. Many citizens may not agree with waging war in Iraq to free the oppressed Iraqi citizens, but it’s something that warriors like myself have zero control over.

I joined to serve my country and to better my life. I’ve seen things that you could never imagine, and they have made me the person I am today.

Mr. Obama, even though we share extreme opposite views, we have one thing in common: we both attended school in Hawaii. However, that’s where the similarities end. You see, as you attended your exclusive, private school, I would ride my bike to Kaimuki High school in one of the roughest areas in Hawaii every morning and would ride past Punahou, the exclusive private school you attended.

I would notice the Bentleys, Maseratis, and fancy foreign cars that all the kids were dropped off in; wow, it must have been extremely rough in Hawaii living that life, right? I could only imagine what it was like to have that kind of money.

Fortunately for you, not many people are aware of the school and the upper class citizens who attended it. The tuition to attend your exclusive, private school was more than it cost me to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Arizona. You talk a big game when it comes to financial inequality; yet I’m quite sure you have no idea what it’s truly like to have sacrificed. You were one of the elitist children in Hawaii.

After High School, we each chose very different paths. You were able to attend Ivy League schools, and I sought out a military career in hopes of earning a degree. What we have in life as children usually sets the tone for what we will face later in life that will make us successful. I worked to get where I am today, and YOU WERE HANDED IT…Mr. Inequality.

I volunteered to go to Iraq on both of my deployments; and the second time, I begged to go even after I wasn’t selected–which ultimately got me placed on the team where I would lose both legs and my dominant arm. I’ve never asked myself: was losing 3 limbs in a war worth it (even though many Americans were against it)?

I am frequently reminded of the many young Iraqi children who would beg me for water, food, and toys while I was stationed in Iraq–children who in all aspects made the poorest of poor American children look rich. You have no idea what it really means to be poor. It’s laughable that you, who would have no idea what it means to be poor, would so frequently play the inequality card.

While I was in Iraq, our mission was to liberate the Iraqi citizens from a tyrant; and that’s what we did. Never forget: it was your people who sent us there, like the Clintons, John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi ,& Carl Levin. However, since the day you busted onto the scene, you’ve been talking about ending the war and pulling the troops out, not understanding the blood, sweat, and tears that so many Americans and Iraqis invested.

And with complete disregard for every life sacrificed, every limb lost, and every broken family, you bailed on our mission to pursue an agenda that was completely centered on your re-election in 2012. If you didn’t bail on Iraq, you were worried that you may not get reelected; and that’s a fact.

Just before elections on Oct 11, 2012, you said “Al Qaeda is on the run and Osama bin Laden is dead.” Look at Iraq now; they are in shambles, and the Al Qaeda flag is flying freely. Clearly, you’re unfit for duty as a Commander in Chief. You put your own agenda ahead of America’s agenda, and now you have single-handedly ruined and destroyed nearly everything we gained in Iraq.

It clearly means nothing to you because the only thing that you’ve personally invested in that country was a promise to bail on them. However, people like me gave limbs, friends have died, and we’ve watched families destroyed by war’s aftermath.

I’m not placing blame on you for the war, I’m placing blame on you for destroying what we’ve worked so hard to build. You’re not a leader; you’re a community organizer. A leader would have stood up regardless of the situation and put America’s agenda first; and that is ensuring a secure Iraq, even after 10 years of war. But, you placed Barack first, just as Robert Gates confirmed in his new book.

I can’t help but think of those poor kids I gave water and toys to 11 years ago. They’re probably 15 or 16 years old now, and I can only imagine what it’s like for them to have their nation being torn apart yet again–all because of your poor leadership qualities.

Regardless of why we went to Iraq, it’s water under the bridge. We went there, we waged war, and we not only owed it to our KIA’s– but we owed it to the citizens of Iraq. We invaded their country and turned it upside down, and you bailed on them. You bailed on our soldiers, and you’ve wasted every death and every limb; it’s all for nothing.
And to make matters worse, you blame others for your failures.

You’re just another elitist rich thug who’s pretended to live the rough life growing up in the inner-city. You’re only worried about your own agenda and furthering your party instead of taking care of Americans. Your inability to be a leader at some of the most critical points has caused both of our wars to fail.

You’ve been a joke to most of our veteran community, and we have no faith in your ability to lead.

Senior Airman Ret Brian Kolfage USAF
