Every civil servant and police officer takes an oath of office and swears to uphold the U.S. Constitution and the state constitution, with an American Flag present.
Watch this outrageous confrontation between these Campbell, Wisconsin, policemen and some citizens peacefully holding signs and U.S. Flags while protesting Barack Obama this past weekend on an I-91 overpass West of La Crosse:
Here is the Oath of Office these same cops took when they joined the force:
I, __________, who have been appointed to the office of Police Officer swear that I will support the constitution of the United States and the constitution of the state of Wisconsin, and will faithfully discharge the duties of said office to the best of my ability. So help me God.The First Amendment of the Constitution states:
Congress shall make no law… abridging…the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.Now either the police in Campbell, WI have a piss-poor comprehension of the 1st Amendment, or someone running the show in La Crosse told them to shut down the "Overpasses for Obama Impeachment" folks down -- because this is Democrat Country -- big time. La Crosse county voted for Obama 58% to 41%.
These citizens were not flag-burners nor were they terrorists. Something is wrong when American citizens obey the Constitution and honor the flag, and yet are harassed and cited, compelled to appear in court before a judge and/or pay a fine.
Also note, as one protester did above, that one does NOT need a photo ID to vote in the state of Wisconsin, thanks to injunctions by liberal judges. But according to Campbell Police, you have to show a photo ID when you display an American flag.
If you do NOT think what these cops did is alright...let them know.

No matter where you live, the police can no longer be trusted. Some of America’s police are buying tanks and weapons that fire hundreds of automatic rounds. Many fire hollow point rounds that will tear an arm of your body so fast you probably won’t feel it. Most of the local cities are not interested in citizens protection themselves or their needs. And they are no longer interested in protecting us.

Ever watch that show Revolution...the very ending scene is when the POTUS is informed that he can return to CONUS via the old USS Constitution as it sits in Gitmo Bay after being exiled due to the upheaval of global authority going to ruin over the lost of electrical power...but the ending scene is telling for those of us that remember the freedoms of the US - the present generation growing up won’t know - as long as their iPad is aglow in their faces - they won’t care!

One of the demonstrators said something like, “In five years, you’ll know what we meant.” Chilling. I often think about that. Pyrrhic victory, if that’s all we get, an acknowledgment that we were right when it’s too late to join us.

Far more than half. Far more. I have not personally met a single LEO/FLEO that has stated to me that they would honor freedom and liberty. Instead, I get the old, “Hey, I don’t make the laws. If that’s what the law says then that is what we will enforce.”
Just this past Saturday night I had two lifelong FLEOs (Customs and Sheriff/BATFE) tell me they would never side with the “rebel rousers” and love arresting people, especially people that don’t follow whatever law comes out of Congress or the State legislatures. When I asked what if the law was in direct violation of the constitution and liberty, they responded, “We already have laws like that, so what would make any new law any different? If you don’t like the rule of law then find a different country.”
They believe that as FLEOs they are on the side that would benefit from tyranny. They are the Nazi camp guards that would make excuses if they found themselves on the losing end of the situation.
I just took a little trip where some SF types were all anxious to become deputy sheriffs in Kali as there are several counties specifically recruiting directly to them. They desire to be the ‘kick in doors but be home for dinner’ types. When another operator asked “What about civility and people’s rights?”, they responded in mostly unison, “F*** that! When you get paid to kick ass you kick ass. We kick ass!” When I responded that they might be on the receiving end of the ass kicking they laughed and shrugged. They really don’t think the tide could turn against them. They just know they’ll get paid $70k starting salary to be door kickers for the sheriff’s department. The money and excitement is with tyranny right now, not civility.
Hard to disagree with that.
