Merry Christmas to Sarah's Awesome List!

And to all of Free Republic!

In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman Empire. And everyone went to his own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem to the town of David, because he belonged to a house in the line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. ~~~~~

This passage shows that bureaucratic incompetence and wasteful inefficiency of autocratic and plutocratic regimes is a historic constant. Disrupt entire populations and make them go back to their home towns(at least in Palestine anyway...I don’t know about the rest of the world at that time) to be registered and taxed. It would be better to register everyone in place then give them some token of receipt with a seal stating they had been taxed and registered. This was the way God chose to have Jesus birthed in Bethlehem as prophesied so I guess I won’t question his wisdom in this!

The Congress shall...

Yes, should Congress choose to legislate on this, it could go private. Thus, in the meantime, the power is vested in the govey only.

Hey, I agree with you it could be done faster, better, cheaper, etc. I just do not see the US Govey relinquishing that power.

That is so fantastic and correct what Sarah said, I have been saying this for years as well.

Anybody that supports abortion or gay marriage in any way shape or form , simply does NOT have the Spirit of Christ within them.

Anybody that votes Democrat in any way shape or form also does NOT have the Spirit of Christ within them (Not to give a pass to moderate Republicans also)

To vote Democrat (or moderate Republican) is to say you support the removal of God from the Public Square

Its NOT very complicated, the arguments have been made, it`s NOT “just politics” when people vote, they are making a decision for or against God/Christ

Just voicing your opinion at the water cooler in support of Abortion/Gay marriage/ removal of God/Christ from public square, is the same as voting

A person that truly had the Spirit of God/Christ within them, could not/would not vote or even offer opinion at water cooler that was in support of those evils.

This is NOT judging to come to this conclusion, just using God given ability, common sense from the Bible.

We are allowed to test things and use Biblical reason, this is NOT judging.

Liberals have tried to tell us that voicing are Biblical opinion is somehow judging, this is a lie from the pit of hell

Joel Osteen, The New Pope and many others are now downplaying our sins, somehow this is supposed to trick people into converting to Christ????

Where? What character in the Bible ever downplayed sin? Nobody! NEVER! now the new wavers such as Joel Osteen and the Pope are telling us that God has changed his mind about sin, that somehow it isn`t that big a deal anymore, that somehow we no longer have to turn from our sins???

We cant offend the Oprah Winfrey`s of the world, we cant tell them that their lifestyles are not acceptable to God because they would otherwise walk out of the service

Oprah likes Osteen because he does NOT tell her her lifestyle is not acceptable to God/Christ

All this is prophesised in the last days that people would twist the truth for their own twisted beliefs

In other words, Mary and Joseph were on a forced march.

They weren’t homeless. They weren’t poor. Joseph went to the inn presumably because he could afford to pay for it. There wasn’t room in the inn due to the government elite’s forced march.
