A friend of mine recently told me he got engaged and all I could think of what to say was “my condolences” LOL!
I have been married for half a century and I've never felt that way. Honestly, when I hear people make comments like this one, I believe they likely married ill advisedly. Most likely, these days, it means they married too young, although my wife and I were certainly very young by today's standards. Find a good woman and your marriage will be joys upon joys. Certainly, the greatest blessing in my life and the one upon which all the others are based - our children, our grandchildren, our home, etc.
