"A lot of male sexuality is also constructed around employing hierarchies of womanhood as trophies, to prove their own worth and engage in a process of gendering themselves through access to womens’ bodies. Within that framework, some hold more currency and others (transwomen) can actually subvert heteronormative male sexualities. The opinions and shared norms of sexuality among peers, performed on womens’ bodies, plays a huge part in constructing their sexuality as well."

All these words appear to be English and I consider myself a fluent English speaker but... none of these sentences make any sense at all.

Loosely translated I think it says "I aced my gender studies course."

I had the same problem, and I, too, am fluent in English, both written and spoken. I had to look up "cissexual," and found that it means a person whose "gender" matches the "sex" that person was "assigned" at birth. So, apparently, a man who believes he is male is "cissexual." (And what's with this "sex assigned at birth" nonsense? I thought it was based on the plumbing, not some sort of coin toss.)

None of this helped my understanding, because I'm still don't know the difference between one's "gender" and one's "sex," and thus remain confused by "transgendered" and "transsexuals," and where cross-dressers fit into all this. No doubt this is because I didn't major in "gender studies," and have a real life in the real world with a real job dealing with real people with real problems.

It’s a phenomenon called “big wordism”. The speaker (writer) uses big words to convey ideas in hopes you’ll consider them smart.

In short, this says men count women they’ve slept with as trophies which prove their manhood. Some are better at bedding women than others and the act of keeping count reinforces the need to “keep score”.

Work in corporate America long enough and you learn to read through bulls***
